The four-wheel-drive armoured pickup truck is a new model developed by our company and is currently in the prototype stage. While pickup trucks currently available on the market have some off-road capabilities, they still struggle to navigate desert, shallow water, swamp, and forest terrain smoothly. While trucks have a higher chassis, their manoeuvrability is limited on narrow roads. This model is suitable for cargo transport and emergency rescue operations in harsh road conditions. When upgraded with protective materials, it can be used for armed escorts, field exercises, and international peacekeeping missions. The vehicle has the following features:
1. When driving on rough terrain, the undercarriage and lower parts of the vehicle, such as paintwork and headlights, are prone to damage from flying stones. We have installed a protective mesh beneath the cab and added mesh covers in front of the lower headlights to effectively block flying stones and reduce the likelihood of vehicle damage. The vehicle body is coated with armour paint to effectively prevent minor scratches.
2. The vehicle body is handcrafted and undergoes electrophoretic rust-proofing treatment after forming. If constructed using protective steel plates, the body would be heavier, making lifting more difficult. Craftsmanship lifting rings are installed around the vehicle body to facilitate lifting during production and maintenance.
3. Conventional pickup trucks have cargo straps and hooks on both sides of the cargo bed. This vehicle’s cargo bed interior floor and the rear floor of the cab feature multiple hidden stainless steel locking rings for securing cargo.
4. Driving on rough terrain may cause vibrations and vehicle dents. The tyre inflation/deflation function allows for real-time adjustment of tyre pressure. When driving on rugged, bumpy terrain, adjusting tyre pressure can extend tyre lifespan. An optional tyre inner support structure can be installed, enabling temporary driving even if the tyre is damaged. In case of vehicle denting, the winch’s towing function can be used for self-rescue or to assist stranded vehicles.
5. Driving on harsh terrain poses significant challenges to a vehicle’s off-road capability and manoeuvrability. This vehicle has a high chassis, with a climbing angle of 60%, an approach angle of 34°, a departure angle of 26°, and a water fording depth of 1,100 mm. It can also start smoothly in low-temperature, high-altitude regions.
6. The windscreen at the front of the cab is equipped with a protective cover, which provides shade from the sun and protection from rain.
7. If equipped with protective materials for use in international peacekeeping operations or military exercises, the rear seats can be fitted with anti-explosion seats, and the doors and rear panels can be fitted with firing ports.
